Irwin Consulting offers consulting services for both Grantor and Grantee organizations. 

Grant-making foundations, associations and societies can obtain advice on how to target specific scientific areas in their proposal solicitations; how to design support mechanisms for each level of academic and clinical researcher; and how to measure the impact of their research funding programs on the field of interest.

Grant-receiving institutions can obtain advice on development and writing of grant applications and contract proposals; site visit preparation; interpretation and response to summary statements and critiques; and strategies for amending proposals.

Dr. Irwin brings 10 years of experience from his own research funded by the National Cancer Institute, Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation, the National Institute of General Medical Sciences, the National Center for Research Resources, and the American Heart Foundation; close to 17 years experience in the extramural programs of the NIH; and 10 years experience in executive leadership at cancer centers and scientific associations.
